Questions People Ask Before They Book

Short answers to common questions. If yours is not here, you can send it through the contact page.

What is an RCIC, and how is it different from a lawyer?

An RCIC is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). Both RCICs and lawyers can represent you before IRCC, and my RCIC-IRB designation also covers the Immigration and Refugee Board. Only a lawyer can take a case to Federal Court.

How can I check your licence?

Search the CICC public register for licence R1053567 or the name Olga Korpalo. It is good practice to check any consultant before you pay. Open my profile in the register

Can you guarantee a result?

No. Decisions are made by IRCC and other government officers, and no representative can guarantee a result. I can prepare a complete, accurate application and tell you plainly about the risks I see.

How much does it cost?

Consultations start at $150 CAD. Service fees are quoted in writing after a consultation, and government fees are separate. Details are on the fees page.

Do you work with clients outside Canada?

Yes. Consultations are online by video, so it does not matter where you live. Documents are exchanged electronically once we sign an agreement.

Who handles my file?

I do. I prepare and review every file myself, and you deal with me directly.

What languages do you work in?

English, Ukrainian and Russian, for consultations and all communication. All documents submitted to IRCC must be in English or French.
