A refusal letter is usually short and gives few details. The first step is to see what the officer actually noted. Then we decide on the next step together.
Who this is for
- Applicants refused a study permit, work permit or visitor visa.
- Sponsors whose family sponsorship was refused.
- Anyone who wants to understand a refusal before applying again.
What I do
- Request the officer’s notes from IRCC, known as GCMS notes.
- Go through the notes with you and explain the reasons for the refusal.
- Prepare a new application that answers those reasons, where that makes sense.
- Represent sponsors in appeals before the Immigration Appeal Division.
Some decisions can only be challenged in Federal Court, by judicial review. That requires a lawyer, and I will tell you if your case needs one.
